Security Architect - 6 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Hybrid in Reading

Rate: £600 per day Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid in Reading
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Solution Architect to join on a 6-month hybrid contract based in Reading, UK (3 days on-site). The role requires deep hands-on cybersecurity experience with a strong focus on designing and strengthening enterprise security capabilities across both IT and OT environments, with particular emphasis on vulnerability management and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and define end-to-end cybersecurity solutions aligned with enterprise security standards and business requirements
* Lead vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritisation, and remediation across large enterprise IT and OT environments
* Provide architectural guidance on secure system design, threat modelling, and risk-based decision making
* Work closely with infrastructure, application, and OT teams to embed security controls into architectures and operations
* Support continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and overall security posture
What You Will Ideally Bring:
* 5+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience in enterprise environments, with strong expertise in vulnerability management including identification, tracking, remediation, and reporting
* Proven exposure to OT security and vulnerability management across Operational Technology environments
* Experience as a security architect across multiple security domains, with knowledge of Zero Trust security frameworks
* Ability to translate security requirements into practical solutions, working across cross-functional infrastructure, application, and OT teams
* Experience working within water utilities or regulated critical infrastructure environments
