Scope
Akkodis is hiring a Senior Project Manager to support complex engineering development programmes within a structured, high-governance environment.
The role will involve leading cross-functional, multi-site teams and supporting delivery across performance, cost, quality and schedule, while working closely with engineering leadership, programme teams and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Lead the planning and delivery of complex engineering development programmes
• Manage programme governance in line with APQP, stage-gate or similar lifecycle processes
• Track and manage risks, issues, cost, quality and schedule performance
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and quality functions
• Act as a key interface with customers, stakeholders and engineering leadership
• Support continuous improvement and delivery performance initiatives
• Provide clear programme reporting to senior stakeholders
Required Experience
• Senior Project Management experience within engineering or product development
• Experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programmes
• Background in Aerospace or Defence
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple sites or geographies
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Required Skills
• Programme planning, scheduling, risk management and cost control
• Strong technical credibility with engineering teams
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Commercial awareness and strong decision-making capability
• Familiarity with programme management tools and methodologies
Education
A degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related technical discipline is required. PRINCE2, PMP or similar certification would be desirable.
