SEN Support Worker - SEN School
Location: SEN School Start Date: ASAP End Date: Until the end of the academic year Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 Pay: £14.25 - £16.64 per hour (dependent on experience, qualifications, and pay type)
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Support Worker to work in a Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding full‑time role, supporting students with a range of complex needs and helping them to access education in a safe, nurturing environment.
The Role:
* Supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties, autism, and additional needs
* Providing personal care support where required (full training and guidance provided)
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
* Assisting with classroom activities and supporting learning outcomes
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school‑based or care setting)
* Comfortable with and committed to providing personal care
* Patient, compassionate, and resilient
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the child workforce
