What you’ll do:
* Work closely with Chemists, Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Biologists to support activities including chemical analysis, device fabrication, and applications testing.
* Perform both routine and one-off laboratory testing such as Raman Spectroscopy, LC-MS, thermal analysis, and dry weight.
* Prepare buffers and membrane materials for reactions on small and large scales.
* Run chemical reactions for modification of membrane materials in flow reactors, following SOPs.
* Write up experimental findings in Electronic Lab Notebook entries and technical reports.
* Contribute to lab organization, e.g., maintaining stocks of reagents and chemical waste disposal.
Who you are:
* Either Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with a minimum of 3 months laboratory experience, or Science A-levels (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years laboratory experience.
* Experience in wet chemistry and/or one or more of the analytical methods listed above.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Teamworking ability, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills, able to multi-task efficiently.
