The Governing Body wishes to appoint a Temporary Teacher (Maternity cover) to work at Llanharan Primary School to complement our existing team (Two term contract).
We are a warm, nurturing and inclusive primary school in Llanharan. We welcome every child through our doors with kindness, high expectations and a belief in their potential. Our staff are dedicated to creating a safe and inspiring environment where pupils feel valued, supported and ready to thrive.
We are looking for a teacher who shares our values and is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners.
The school has 161 pupils on role. We operate a part-time Nursery Class and several mixed age classes throughout the school.
About the Role
We are seeking a caring, reflective and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will create a classroom where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn, while delivering high quality teaching aligned with the Curriculum for Wales.
Year group will be discussed at interview stage and applications from NQTs and teachers from Progression Steps 1 – 3 are encouraged.
We welcome candidates who are resilient, enjoy tackling challenges, and model a growth mindset that inspires our pupils to do the same.

•Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, supporting their wellbeing, confidence and sense of belonging
•Plan and deliver engaging, creative learning experiences that reflect the Curriculum for Wales and the four purposes
•Celebrate each child’s individuality and adapt teaching to meet diverse needs, including those with ALN
•Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive behaviour through compassion, consistency and high expectations
•Work in partnership with families, recognising them as key partners in each child’s learning journey
•Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure holistic support for all learners
•Model the school’s values in daily interactions, fostering kindness, respect and empathy
•Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional learning to continually grow and improve.
