Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for the well‑being of our residents, ensuring their emotional and social needs are met.
* Lead, motivate and mentor your team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the care home.
* Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans for each resident.
* Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and compliant with relevant standards, policies and legislation.
* Promote residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.
* Deliver proven leadership and home management, ensuring a truly empathic service that meets and exceeds regulatory standards.
* Champion resident well‑being, establish a vision and development plan for the home, and carry out quality assurance monitoring to take us above and beyond regulatory standards.
Qualifications
* Experience as a care home manager with strong leadership skills.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and conducting risk assessments.
* Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care Level 4/5, or a willingness to study for one.
* Exceptional consideration and kindness when communicating with residents and co‑workers.
* Ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond.
* Attending safeguarding training appropriate to the role and undertaking additional training in associated areas.
* Capacity to seek appropriate advice, report concerns and, if necessary, escalates whilst understanding that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
