We are looking to strengthen our Commercial team with a Managing Quantity Surveyor based at either Maple Lodge, Coppermills or Hampton with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Senior Commercial Manager and you will be expected to take responsibility for the Commercial Management of Project(s).
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Commercial leadership on a portfolio of projects, ranging in value between £5m and £20m
2. Commercial responsible for end to end commercial management from pre-construction to final accounting
3. Leading and managing a team of 3-5 Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors
4. Contract Administration of an IChemE contract with the Client, ensuring submission of accurate records, and notices required under the Contract via CEMAR, including variations, applications for payment and early warning notices
5. Development and influence of Client relationships
6. Ensure cash exposure is minimised at all time
7. Ownership of margin improvement plans
8. Minimisation of disallowed cost
9. Ownership of monthly reporting for your portfolio, inclusive of CVR, client forecasting and cash and wip reporting
10. Management of the procurement process for your portfolio
11. Accountability for accurate forecast reporting, with variance narrative
12. Site visits to projects and completion of Senior Manager Tours
13. Negotiation of Works Order Contract, adhering to Group policy
14. Additional duties involved in the commercial management of a portfolio of projects
