Product Design Lead A leading UK engineering organisation working on complex defence technology is looking for a Product Design Lead to take ownership of a key command and control product. This is a role at the centre of system capability. The product you will be responsible for acts as the decision-making layer within a wider platform, analysing threats and coordinating responses in fast-changing environments. With new international programmes now underway, the team is expanding to support the next phase of development. You will lead a small design team responsible for both software and hardware development, working closely with systems engineers, programme teams and wider stakeholders to deliver new capability across multiple programmes. What you'll be doing Leading a small engineering team delivering new software design for equipment systems Supporting the development of hardware build standards Working across the wider weapon system design environment to align technical solutions Tracking design progress against programme milestones Managing engineering changes and implementation of new design releases What they’re looking for This role would suit someone with experience delivering product or systems design within a complex engineering environment.
