We're looking for a friendly, organised person to join our Children's Services team as a Recruitment and Retention Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contract.
You'll be at the heart of our hiring process - posting jobs, shortlisting candidates, arranging interviews, and making sure new starters feel welcome. You'll also help us keep our recruitment campaigns fresh and inclusive, working closely with managers and the wider HR team.
What you'll do:
* Advertise jobs and manage applications
* Arrange interviews and keep candidates updated
* Support onboarding and induction for new staff
* Keep our records and systems organised
* Help shape our recruitment and retention strategies
* Boost Peterborough City Council's profile as a great place to work by promoting our employer brand across different platforms
* Get involved in developing and improving our marketing, attraction, and retention approaches—making sure everything we do is inclusive, fair, and meets legal requirements
What we're after:
* Experience in recruitment (either in-house or agency)
* Great communication and IT skills
* Able to juggle tasks and stay calm under pressure
