Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker - Derby – Bank
Location: Millfield House SARC, Derby
Salary: Retainer rates – £30.56 per 8‑hour shift (09:00 Monday to 08:59 Saturday) and £40.24 from 09:00 Saturday to 08:59 Monday. Attendance payment: £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case.
Shift Patterns: 24/7 rota coverage; 365/6 days per year.
About the role: The Crisis Worker provides compassionate support to victims of sexual assault within the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), acting as an advocate and ensuring high‑standard forensic evidence collection and patient care pathways.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the first point of contact for service users.
* Support the process of service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collection of forensic evidence.
* Ensure a high standard of DNA anti‑contamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
* Assist patients and liaise with other agencies regarding the management of the service‑user pathway.
* Provide preparation, service‑user support and advocacy throughout their time at the SARC.
* Act as a key player within the SARC team and the wider company network.

* Experience working in a supportive or customer‑focused environment.

* Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality.
