Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, while influencing the rest of the team with kindness.
* Support residents in daily activities, including assisting with walking aids, meals at the end of life, and communicating with families.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication where required.
* Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
* Participate in person-centred care planning, with knowledge of caring for people with dementia. Bring a positive energy and ability to work well with others, ensuring clear and considerate communication.
Qualifications and qualities
* Ideally, a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care; prepared to work toward Level 3 or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and dementia care knowledge is desirable.
* Brilliant positive energy, ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, and effective time management.
* Respectful, kind, and compassionate communication with residents and co-workers.

All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training as needed, including escalation if action is not taken.
