Working closely with senior finance leadership, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting while supporting the ongoing development of systems and processes. The Opportunity You’ll join a central finance team supporting a multi-site and operationally complex business. The role sits at the heart of the reporting cycle, with responsibility for delivering month-end accounts, supporting internal reporting and ensuring data integrity across systems. You’ll work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting. There is also a strong focus on improving processes and controls, particularly following recent system changes. Why this role stands out This is more than a traditional management accounts role. You’ll have the opportunity to: Take ownership of month-end processes and reporting Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business Support improvements in systems and reporting processes Contribute to strengthening financial controls Gain exposure to both internal and external reporting requirements What you’ll get involved in Your responsibilities will include: Preparing monthly management accounts within set deadlines Posting journals, accruals and prepayments Supporting balance sheet integrity and reconciliations Producing variance analysis and commentary Supporting internal reporting packs and management information Assisting with audit and year-end reporting requirements Liaising with stakeholders to ensure accurate cost allocation Supporting improvements in reporting processes and systems Maintaining strong financial controls and challenging where appropriate Who this is for You’ll likely be someone who: Is part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) Has experience working in a management accounting role Demonstrates strong attention to detail and analytical skills Is confident working with Excel and financial systems Communicates effectively with stakeholders across the business Is proactive and comfortable challenging processes where needed Can manage deadlines and prioritise workload effectively Experience within a multi-site or retail-style environment would be beneficial but not essential.
