Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
* Respond promptly and effectively to all visitors.
* Maintain mechanical areas in a neat and orderly condition.
* Conduct daily inspections of public areas to identify and address issues promptly.
* Perform maintenance and repairs in public areas, guestrooms, and back-of-house areas, including minor repairs, painting, and wallpaper repairs.
* Possess light/basic carpentry skills.
* Implement consistent preventive maintenance programs for rooms and keep detailed records.
* Perform scheduled repairs and maintenance on kitchen equipment.
* Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment without requiring a licensed HVAC technician.
* Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
* Maintain gas burners and hot water heaters through preventive measures.
* Ensure all projects are completed promptly and according to specifications.
* Collaborate with management on operational aspects involving the facility department.
* Assess requirements and prepare reports or work orders for management.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facility Manager, such as changing lightbulbs, assisting with heavy lifting, and minor snow removal.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
* Represent Bally's Tiverton positively with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.
* Adhere to Bally's Tiverton policies and procedures.
* Follow departmental policies and procedures.
* Keep materials and inventory stock organized.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
1. Knowledge: Must have a Journeyman Plumber's license with at least four years of experience in construction or maintenance.
2. Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; CAD skills are a plus.
3. Abilities:
* High School diploma or GED with five years of related experience.
* Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanics.
* Basic mathematical skills for measurement and calculations.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
* Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
* Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrate initiative and a sense of urgency.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
