We are hiring! - Work with Us

Do you have a passion for helping vulnerable people enjoy fulfilling lives and feel included in their community? If compassion, care, and inclusiveness are important to you, our opportunities to work in a challenging yet rewarding role could be ideal.

Our Turning Point Scotland Services in North Ayrshire are seeking individuals to provide support to adults with diverse needs, either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland’s North Ayrshire Prevention, Early Intervention, and Recovery (P.E.A.R.) Service is a drug and alcohol support service based in Arran. We involve service users in shaping our services and activities, including recovery support, group work, therapeutic activities like relaxation and acu-detox, both in-service and community settings. Our approach is person-centred, aligned with our motto: Your journey, your way. Your service, your say.

We actively engage with local communities, attending groups and events across North Ayrshire to offer advice, guidance, and signposting to practical services. We also run a drop-in service for individuals to access support without appointments, providing a relaxed environment for those not currently engaged with other services.

The service is open to men and women aged 18 and over who recognize they have a substance use problem and wish to start their recovery journey.

We conduct assessments to develop personalised support plans, offering ongoing psycho-social support through one-to-one sessions or recovery-focused group work. We collaborate with our local statutory addiction service, NADARS, to ensure individuals receive appropriate support. Additionally, we provide therapeutic support, including relaxation and acu-detox sessions.

Each individual creates a personalised recovery action plan, outlining their goals and steps towards recovery. Support is provided to explore options and work alongside other agencies, communities, families, and groups. We also encourage and support maintaining relationships to reduce social isolation.

We run family support groups for those affected by someone else’s substance use.

Our support is always person-centred, involving family, friends, health and social work professionals, advocacy services, and staff.

We value respect, compassion, inclusion, and integrity. We offer full support to help you complete your application.

As a Lead Practitioner, you will work with individuals with diverse needs, providing practical and emotional support to help them achieve personal outcomes in safety, activities, community involvement, health, relationships, and wellbeing.

IT skills are required for all vacancies. Successful candidates may need to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting.

We value lived experience; please click here to learn more about our views.
