Buyer - Aerospace and Defence

We are seeking a Buyer to manage and administer the sourcing of a wide range of products, ensuring all items meet strict quality and accreditation standards. Experience in procuring electrical or electro-mechanical components is essential, with previous exposure to the defence and/or aerospace sectors strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the purchasing of materials and services, including production parts and consumables.
2. Negotiate pricing and lead times while maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
3. Raise, manage, and monitor Purchase Orders with approved vendors, ensuring cost-effective buying in terms of price, service, and quality.
4. Source and onboard new suppliers to support business needs and growth.
5. Produce and deliver reports for management as required.
6. Provide purchasing support to the internal sales team
About You
7. Proven experience in buying, procurement, or product management, with effective supply chain and purchasing capabilities.
8. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, supported by entrepreneurial negotiation ability.
9. High accuracy, attention to detail and an analytical mindset, alongside strong numeracy and IT skills.
10. A working understanding of AS9120 is required.
11. Ability to learn quickly with a proactive, flexible approach to delivering results.
12. A solid understanding of electrical and mechanical parts procurement is highly advantageous.
