Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security personnel to join our team at a prestigious project near Reading. You will be responsible for car park management duties, enforcing security protocols and guiding visitors and contractors to the correct locations around the project.
Responsibilities:
1. Access Control
* Verify vehicle access authorisation against issued passes.
* Check ID badges of all drivers and passengers.
* Challenge unauthorised or suspicious vehicles immediately and follow escalation protocols.
* Surveillance & Monitoring
* Monitor car parking areas and ensure compliance with parking protocols.
* Patrol car parks on foot to deter unauthorised access.
* Report and log any security breaches and/or parking compliance issues.
* Traffic Management
* Direct vehicle flow, especially during peak hours, events, or emergencies.
* Manage delivery and contractor vehicles to ensure proper routing.
* Maintain clear access routes for emergency services.
* Visitor & Contractor Coordination
* Assist with visitor vehicle registration and access.
* Direct contractors to appropriate check-in or inspection areas.
* Ensure all visitors are aware of site rules and have the correct authorisation.
* Parking Enforcement
* Enforce site-specific parking policies, such as:
* Reserved bays (e.g. for senior staff or disabled access)
* Time-limited zones
* No-parking areas (e.g. fire lanes, loading bays)
* Issue warnings or incident reports for policy breaches.
Must Haves:
* SIA DS Licence
* Emergency 1st Aid at Work
* High level of customer service
* Good communication skills
* Ability to pass BS7858 and enhanced BPSS vetting protocols
Shift Pattern:
* Mon to Fri 06:00-16:00 (50hrs per week)
Rate:
£15.00/hr
