Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor

Are you a Residential Conveyancer living within commutable distance of Gatwick and looking for a role where you can genuinely make your mark?
We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer / Solicitor to play a key role in growing and developing our conveyancing offering in the Crawley and Gatwick area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, client interaction, and being part of a firm with strong local roots.
The Opportunity
This is a full‑time, permanent role with hybrid working. You can be based from Crawley or Gatwick, with flexibility to work from home and attend the office as required.
You will have the opportunity to help build and shape a conveyancing department, develop local business relationships, and become a trusted name in the residential property market around Gatwick and West Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion
* Handling:
o Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
o New build and shared ownership matters
o Re‑mortgages
o Lease extensions
o Equity release transactions
* Providing a high standard of client care and clear communication throughout the transaction
* Liaising with estate agents, lenders and other professionals
* Supporting business development and the growth of the conveyancing offering in the Gatwick area
About You
You will ideally:
* Be a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer (CLC), or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx)
* Have 2+ years’ PQE in residential conveyancing
* Be able to manage a busy caseload independently
* Have experience using case management systems
* Be organised, detail‑focused and comfortable working to deadlines
* Have excellent communication and client‑facing skills
* Share a commitment to delivering high‑quality, accessible legal services
