Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias)
Salary: £43,853 per annum
Location: Telford
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (rotating days & nights)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician (Electrical bias) to join the engineering team at a highly automated industrial facility based in Telford.

The site operates one of the most advanced automated plants of its kind in the UK, processing large volumes of equipment every year and setting new standards for efficiency, performance, and innovation.
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping the plant operating at peak performance. You’ll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, supporting improvement projects, and helping to drive reliability while minimising downtime and operating costs.
What will you be doing?

Working a 4 on / 4 off rotational shift pattern (days and nights)

Completing planned maintenance inspections and condition reports
*
Planning and delivering corrective and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
*
Carrying out dynamic risk assessments and maintaining high safety standards
*
Monitoring equipment performance and escalating issues to site management
*
Supporting engineering projects, new installations, and refurbishments
*
Accurately recording work activity in a CMMS
*
Contributing to fault-finding and problem-solving workshops
*
Attending daily operational meetings to provide maintenance updates and improvement plans

A recognised engineering qualification with an electrical bias

Experience in a manufacturing, processing, or production environment
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
*
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
*
Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe systems of work
*
Experience with plant isolations, permits, and safety systems
*
Understanding of proactive and preventative maintenance strategies
*
Familiarity with CMMS platforms
