Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. NMC Registered Nursing
2. 2 years post qualifying experience
3. Recognised teaching qualification
4. Experience at Band 5 Level in acute medicine
Desirable criteria
5. 1st level degree or working towards
6. Post registration courses related to Respiratory
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria
7. Clinically Competent in Acute Care
8. IT literacy using a range of current and relevant packages
Desirable criteria
9. Venepuncture and Cannulation
10. Chest Drains
11. ILS
Experience
Essential criteria
12. Demonstrable experience within acute medicine
Desirable criteria
13. Demonstrable Experience in BIPAP, CPAP and Nasal High Flow
Knowledge
Essential criteria
14. Demonstrate knowledge of clinical audit and clinical effectiveness
15. Ability to demonstrate fundamental nursing knowledge and practical skills
Desirable criteria
16. LERN/RCA training and proficiency
17. Knowledge of sickness management and appraisal process
18. Knowledge of budget management
