You'll join our established national team of 7 and become part of the wider global Stantec HSSE community, ideally based in Warrington or Manchester. About the role: In this role, you'll be a trusted partner to our project teams, providing pragmatic, solutions-focused HSSE support both in the office and out in the field. You'll help strengthen our SaferTogether culture and ensure our operations consistently meet the highest standards of health, safety, security, and environmental performance. You will play a key role in embedding HSSE excellence by: Being a Trusted Advisor: Offering clear, practical HSSE guidance for office, hybrid, and site-based activities. Driving Project Success: Supporting project planning through CDM compliance, risk assessments, safe systems of work, and active participation in design risk reviews. Cultivating a Strong HSSE Culture: Engaging with colleagues, providing proactive advice, delivering engaging training, developing communications, investigating incidents to identify root causes and, sharing lessons learned Enabling Compliance: Working with facilities and management teams to maintain healthy, safe, secure, accessible, and environmentally responsible workplaces. Leading with Assurance: Conducting inspections and audits, providing actionable insights that drive continuous improvement. Your impact: You'll influence how our teams think about health, safety, security and environmental aspects, shape how our projects are delivered, and contribute to a culture where people feel empowered to work safely and responsibly. About you We're looking for a proactive professional with a growth mindset-someone who's confident challenging the status quo constructively and eager to develop their HSSE career within a supportive, forward-thinking environment. Essential Requirements: A recognised Level 3 HSSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Construction). Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation. Experience within consultancy, engineering, or construction environments. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally. Highly Desirable: Knowledge of CDM regulations, ideally within water, energy, or infrastructure sectors. Membership of a professional body such as IOSH. Why Join us?
