European Geophysical Services is expanding again! We're looking for a motivated Geophysical Logging Engineer to join our team. The role is based at our stunning offices in the picturesque Shropshire countryside, just north of Shrewsbury.
This dynamic role offers a mix of fieldwork and office-based responsibilities. When in the field, you'll primarily conduct borehole geophysical surveys across the UK and Ireland, with further opportunities for international and offshore work. Back at the office, the role includes data interpretation, report writing, equipment maintenance and calibration. Occasional weekend work may be required.
We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with a degree in Geology, Geophysics or Earth sciences, and a genuine passion for practical, hands-on work.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out borehole geophysical surveys.
* Loading and testing equipment in preparation for travel to site.
* Interpretating data and writing reports.
* Maintaining and calibrating equipment.
* Acting as a strong company ambassador.
* Complying with health and safety.
* Working well as part of a friendly team.
Qualifications
* Geology, geophysics or earth science subject-based degree, as a minimum.
* Practical disposition and love of fieldwork.
* A full UK driving license and the right to employment in the UK.
* Good team player and strong communication skills.
* Commitment to the company mission statement and values.
* Experience in the hydrogeological, mineral exploration, or geotechnical industries would be an advantage, but not essential.
