About the role
Akkodis has an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer where you'll play a key role in focusing on the designing of maritime electrical systems for safety and reliability and developing new designs while maintaining and upgrading existing in-service installations.
What you will be doing
* Developing and agreeing on a development plan with the team leader and following it proactively.
* Delivering electrical aspects of ISR system design, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Designing and integrating complex electrical and electronic systems, incorporating COTS, MIL-COTS, and electronic automation solutions.
* Defining constructive and mechanical interfaces for system integration.
* Collaborating with other engineering disciplines, production, and procurement to develop cost-effective, manufacturable solutions.
* Ensuring technical requirements at product and sub-system levels meet customer needs and can be successfully verified and validated.
About You
You will possess extensive experience in electrical design, particularly within a secure environment. This experience should encompass the design and development of Electrical/Electronic components.
You will have the following experience:
* Strong experience in electrical/electronic design.
* Electronics packaging and associated cabling.
* Platform installation design within a maritime/aerospace/defence environment.
* Creating system and sub-system production test specifications.
* Designing to meet CE marking and EMC requirements.
* Knowledge of low-voltage directive compliance.
