Personal Assistant Position
Personal Assistant required for a happy and funny 16-year-old boy who lives in Saltash.
He is a wheelchair user, has cerebral palsy and some mobility issues, and would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with his communication and social skills out in the community. He loves being outdoors. His interests are football (massive Liverpool supporter) and gaming.
A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community gaining independence away from his family.
Good rate of pay at £13 per hour.
6 hours per week are available during term time (39 weeks).
12 hours per week are available during the school holidays (13 weeks).
There is a Motability vehicle available for use.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
