The Faculty of English and Faculty of Music are seeking a creative, proactive and strategically minded part-time Communications Coordinator.
Responsibilities
* Champion the stories, achievements and activities of both Faculties, including world leading research, degree programmes, public events, student life and alumni successes.
* Develop engaging internal and external communications, nurture alumni communities, raise the profile of each Faculty, shape key messages for targeted audiences, and use the most effective communication channels and strategies to reach audiences across the University and beyond.
* Play a key part in shaping how each Faculty engages with prospective students, alumni, donors and the wider public, bringing coherence, creativity and impact to the Faculties' public presence.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level, preferably with a degree (or equivalent level of experience) in any area of the arts, social sciences or humanities.
* Experience in communications, publicity, marketing and publishing environments (print or web).
Terms
* Part time (0.8 FTE), comprising 0.6 FTE to the Faculty of English and 0.2 FTE to the Faculty of Music.
* Fixed term for three years due to limited funding.
