Job Description
About the role :-
Provides high quality and comprehensive reporting to DFT with focus on periodic management accounts, quarterly forecasts, and the annual business plan and address queries raised in a timely manner. Additionally, creating and supporting internal and board reporting views within Power BI and TM1. Furthermore, supports process improvement across the GTR Finance Community.
Duties to include :-
1. Maintain and update DfT reporting templates, including management accounts, assumptions records, and quarterly forecasts.
2. Create and improve Power BI dashboards to support financial reporting, scoping requirements for new reports.
3. Manage ad-hoc financial requests from key stakeholders, including Go-Ahead and the DfT.
4. Own the period-end reporting file, ensuring the chart of accounts is accurately reflected.
5. Provide financial support to projects across the business as needed.
6. Drive greater use of Business Intelligence tools within the Finance team.
7. Coordinate and provide feedback on financial business cases.
8. Develop and manage automated processes (e.g., Power Automate).
9. Act as Finance's data SME, working closely with the Data Analytics team.
10. Document business use cases, scope model changes, and map data process flows.
