The Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) is an exciting new facility designed to provide streamlined, one-stop clinical pathways that enable rapid, integrated diagnostics and treatment for patients within a community setting.

This post is a 12 months fixed term contract.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide strong coordination and leadership across multiple working groups, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and ensuring that key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are achieved. As CDC General Manager, they will act as the central point of contact for planning, operational delivery, and risk managementensuring the programme remains on track, within scope, and on budget.
Working closely with the Head of Nursing and Clinical Leads, the post holder will support the development of efficient, patient-centred services that meet key financial and operational performance targets. This includes establishing effective processes to deliver national and local standards, and regularly reviewing service efficiency, effectiveness, and financial flows.
The post holder will also work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and drive opportunities for service redesign, applying recognised improvement methodologies to enhance patient pathways and operational performance.
Additionally, the role will deputise for the Divisional Director of Operations when required and participate in the Trust’s on-call rota.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Supporting the Divisional Triumvirate, the post holder will:
* Provide clear leadership to the operational teams within the CDC Centre, ensuring that all staff are appropriately managed and developed and that they are efficient, effective, engaged and motivated.
* Manage direct reports and provide overall support to teams.
* Ensure that there are effective working relationships across the various clinical pathways.
* Act as the key link between the clinical teams and all the division management teams.
* To ensure the CDC Centre demonstrate an open-door policy and that open and inclusive working relationships are developed with front line staff being fully involved in division decision making.
* Lead transparent, data-informed decision-making that uses evidence, insight and service user feedback to continuously improve care pathways.
* Mentor and develop clinical and operational teams; support inclusive career progression and promote a culture where all staff feel supported to thrive.
* Actively advocate for services at divisional and system levels; ensure Trust and national policy is applied fairly in all service delivery.
* Lead collaborative working across multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams including health, education and social care to ensure integrated pathways.
* Participate in the Senior Manager Silver On-call rota.
Strategic Direction
Supporting the Divisional Management team, the General Manager will:
* Lead the strategic and operational decision making for the CDC Centre ensuring there is a clear business plan for the CDC Centre at the start of the year; and developing and implementing the plan as the year progresses, in conjunction with the senior clinical and non-clinical management team in the Family Care Division and colleagues in corporate services across the Trust.
* To be a key member of the wider Divisional Management Team and representing the Division as required on Trust wide/ external meetings.
* To work closely with the Divisional Director of Operations and Divisional Medical Director to communicate the strategic priorities for the Division/Care Groups and ensure these have a focus on the Trust Strategy.
* To translate the Trust strategic objectives into an effective operational management plan for the Care Groups whilst taking into consideration the local and national frameworks.
* Take an operational/management lead for the commissioning/contracting process that relates to the CDC Centre activity, through active engagement with the Trust
