Are you passionate about helping students thrive? We're on the lookout for a friendly, proactive, and student-focused Student Achievement Advisor to join our team at West Herts College. The role will be based at both our Watford and Hemel Hempstead Campuses.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with students—one-on-one and in small groups—supporting them with: boosting GCSE English and Maths skills; navigating exams and assessments; building academic, technical, and research skills; mastering study techniques.
* Track student progress, create tailored support plans, and collaborate with curriculum teams to ensure every student gets the help they need.
Qualifications
* At least a Level 3 qualification and GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Confident in helping students improve GCSE English and Maths skills
* Great at motivating and engaging learners across a range of vocational subjects
* Team player who can also work independently and take initiative
* Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and carers
* Organised, resourceful, and learner-focused

You’ll also help track student progress, create tailored support plans, and work closely with curriculum teams to ensure every student gets the help they need.
