About the Role
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Pharmacy technician to join our well-established Dermatology pharmacy team and also wider pharmacy team delivering services at Lauriston Building.
This post will look to support dispensing, homecare and clinical services for Dermatology. There will be opportunity for development of a patient-facing role and full training and ongoing support will be provided. Medicines Homecare service is an alternative supply route for medicines to the patients. Overall prescribing responsibility still sits with the clinical services, but medicines are delivered to the patients homes, using private Pharmacies Homecare Providers.
The successful candidate will also contribute to delivery of technical service for sexual health and Ophthalmology services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality of patient care and participate in ongoing service development.
Participation in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh weekend and public holiday rota is expected of the post holder. The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) is a large teaching hospital with an established reputation for offering the best practice across a wide variety of specialist services.

About you
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy technician from either primary or secondary care background with a passion for delivering exceptional clinical care. Excellent inter-personal skills are essential with the ability to work with an extensive multidisciplinary teams and building professional relationships.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
4. Candidates should possess a National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, SVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
5. A diligent, reliable, and flexible approach to work.
6. Prior experience within pharmacy services or stock management.
