Description:
Overview of the role: The Piping Design Engineer supports field design activities for piping. The role involves handling interfaces with various disciplines and solving piping engineering issues during on-site installation. Main tasks include:
* Gathering input data, analyzing hypotheses, and preparing loading reports.
* Engaging with stakeholders such as contractors and other disciplines.
* Performing stress analysis: piping flexibility, supports, etc.
* Proposing modifications when sizing criteria are not met.
* Closing open points, assessing modifications, and conducting hand calculations.
* Maintaining QA procedures and working with CAD designers.
Key Relationships:
The employee will interact with the discipline manager and stakeholders to ensure site queries are resolved on time.
Requirements:
* Master's in Science or Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 2 years experience in piping design, nuclear industry, or equivalent
* Knowledge of Eurocode, ASME, RCC-M
* Experience with piping design software (PDMS, Navisworks, etc.)
* Understanding of piping and support calculations
* Experience in multicultural environments
* Motivated to learn
Desirable:
* Knowledge of HPC project, EPR, or related studies
* Understanding of nuclear engineering and building NI, CI & BOP facilities
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
* Proficiency in English for document and interface communication
* Ability to meet deadlines
