A prestigious Independent school in Harrow is seeking a scholarly and intellectually curious Religious Studies Teacher for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2026. This position is designed for a practitioner who thrives on high-level theological and philosophical debate with ambitious young scholars.

The School Environment Philosophy and Ethics are at the heart of the intellectual life of this school. * Lead scholarly discussion groups and mentor students for university entrance in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE).

* Foster a culture of mutual respect and open inquiry through inclusive and challenging lesson delivery.

* Contribute to the school’s broad enrichment programme, linking theology to modern social justice and global affairs.

* Work collaboratively with the Humanities team on interdisciplinary projects and symposia.

Requirements

* Degree in Theology, Philosophy, or a related humanities field.

* PGCE or QTS.

* Proven track record of success at A-Level.

* Must have the right to work in the UK.

Salary and Benefits

* Full-time, permanent contract.

* The school operates its own independent salary scale consistently set above the state sector equivalent.

* Benefits include extended school holidays, the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS), and a vibrant staff-room culture.

How to Apply Please submit your updated CV for immediate consideration. If shortlisted, a member of our team will contact you via phone to discuss the role and the school in further detail.
