The Opportunity As a SHE Technician you will support the site by making sure that the day to day operation of the H&S management system is supported.
Responsibilities
* You will be the first point of call for review of incidents, will be involved in inspections & audits and will coach the managers and supervisor to take responsibility for health, safety & the environment.
* You will undertake projects as directed by the Site Manager and assist in training and coaching where applicable e.g. inductions and contractor controls.
* You will also collate performance information and assist the Site Manager in providing relevant H&S information to the site Senior Management Team.
* You will be a solution finder, assisting site managers and supervisors and you will bring positivity and enthusiasm to building a site culture of safety, health and sustainability.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* IEMA Associate Certificate would be an advantage
* NEBOSH or equivalent
* Associate or Technical Member of IOSH
* Experience within a SHE function within manufacturing or warehouse environments
* Food experience but not essential
* Passionate about pursuing a career in health and safety and willing to learn
