Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a full-time HCPC registered Band 5 to our exciting rotational post across Community and Acute services. This post is perfect for a new graduate OT or someone looking to broaden their experience within a varied rotational post.
Our rotation covers orthopaedics, acute medical, surgical, Neuro/stroke rehabilitation, wheelchair services, ward-based rehabilitation, community-based rehabilitation, and the National Treatment Centre.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate safe and timely discharges from hospital settings and liaise with multidisciplinary teams in acute hospital rotations.
* Develop skills in rehabilitation, major and minor adaptations, inter-professional working and dynamic problem solving within the community team.
* Manage a seven-day rota where required, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment/appropriate management, onward referral, and discharge for patients.
* Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioners and Occupational Therapy students, with regular supervision and peer supervision opportunities.
* Travel efficiently between various work locations and patient residences; a full current driving licence is essential.
Qualifications
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* Current HCPC registration.
