About the company
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Gaydon who are seeking a Lead Engineer Body Structures to join their team on a rolling contract basis working 40 hours per week
Job Description
The role will mainly focus on but not limited to the development of Body Structures, Subframes, Structural trays and braces, longitudinal's, shock towers, dash and cowls, with associated interface sub-components, working to structures design rules and standards as part of an Agile team with one of the new vehicles.
As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of components on a given platform from concept into production, with platform & project engineer responsibilities.
Skills:
Body structures design and engineering, both in steel and aluminium, from initial concept through to final production release.
High experience of component design to deliver performance attributes (durability, stiffness, weight, cost)
DVP completion in line with programme timing milestones
FMEA, Standards and Bill of Design support
GD&T Knowledge
Deliver Engineering sign off through DVP and CAE reports
Education:
Degree, apprenticeship or equivalent experience in relevant field
