About the Role We are recruiting a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer for an expanding multidisciplinary consultancy working across geotechnical, environmental and ground investigation projects throughout the UK. You will take a lead technical role, managing complex assignments, providing specialist geoenvironmental insight, and delivering high-quality assessments that support planning, design and risk management Key Responsibilities Lead and manage geoenvironmental and ground investigation projects from inception to completion. Prepare and review Phase 1 & Phase 2 reports, including desk studies, risk assessments and interpretative findings. Conduct contaminated land, ground gas, groundwater and mining risk assessments. Develop remedial strategies and validation reporting where required. Supervise site investigations, monitoring programmes and fieldwork logistics. Provide geotechnical assessment input (e.g., slope stability, settlement, foundation considerations). Write clear, technically sound reports, logs and client deliverables. Mentor junior engineers and consultants, supporting their professional growth. Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, industry guidance and health & safety protocols. Experience & Qualifications Degree (BSc/MSc) in Environmental Science, Geology, Geoenvironmental Engineering or related discipline. Typically 5 years' experience in a geoenvironmental/ground engineering consultancy or similar role. Strong working knowledge of current British and industry standards relevant to geoenvironmental practice (e.g., BS standards and EA/LCRM guidance). Proven experience in project management, technical report writing and client liaison. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. CSCS card, site supervisor safety qualification (e.g., SSSTS/IOSH) and UK driving licence preferred.
