Description Camborne Nursery School is one of only two maintained Nursery Schools specialising in early year’s education in Cornwall. We have an outstanding Ofsted grade and we offer 90 places to children who are 2, 3 and 4 years old. We have a vacancy for a full time Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a fixed term contract starting ASAP until 23rd July 2026. Working hours will be between 8.45am and 3.15pm There may also be the opportunity for additional casual hours from time to time. You will have a fantastic opportunity to upskill and expand on your own professional development within the roles. There is the possibility that this may become a permanent contract. We are looking for a reliable, flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, committed to inclusion, to join our skilful, longstanding team who are dedicated to providing quality, holistic nursery education and first class family support. The successful applicant will understand the importance of warm, empathetic relationships in establishing the foundation for outstanding behaviour management and learning, working with 2, 3 and 4 year old children. The individual will need to be committed to working with both the indoor and outdoor learning environment and ensuring the development of all our children. They need to show intuition as they respond to the children’s needs on a daily basis and in a level headed way. Experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage. It is essential that the applicant will have a level 2 or level 3 early years qualification or the equivalent.
