An opportunity has become available within our expanding Serious Injury Department for an experienced Associate Team Leader to supervise and provide technical support on cases valued in excess of £100k and up to £1m.

The role holder will require a sound technical knowledge of personal injury (RTA) work. In addition, they will have considerable experience usually gained over 8 years + of working on multi-track claims in excess of £500k.
The role involves end to end technical support and coaching on cases, responsibility for the adherence to our robust supervision framework as well as being accountable for delivery of your teams objectives and KPIs.
The role holder will be an ambassador for Minster Law, bringing to life our core purpose and values through inspirational leadership and technical expertise.
This role is part of the Serious Injury leadership team that helps deliver growth, engagement excellent customer service and performance.
Key Accountabilities
To provide technical support and effective supervision to Grade A colleagues and their supporting hubs conducting multi-track RTA claims with a value in excess of £100k to up to £1M
The level of supervision required will be in accordance with the firms supervision framework and the post holder is expected to be an ambassador of best practice.
To provide technical coaching and guidance to leads and AFEs.
To ensure efficient case progression to achieve the required operational, financial and client service performance in line with the firms objectives.
To support colleagues in optimising case planning and hub productivity.
To undertake monthly technical 121s with Grade A colleagues enabling reportable feedback to Technical Leads for action plans and business strategy
To identify and escalate any capability concerns to the Technical Lead and support with the implementation of training, development or support plans if appropriate.
To collaborate with QA and Technical Compliance and / or Technical Leads to manage risk.
To support in Billing Governance Forums as required providing technical submissions for team members.
To ensure your team adhere to Minster Law Costs Process and provide technical costs support to fee earners.
Working collaboratively with fellow Team Leaders, Team Managers and Technical Leads to embed business change, manage risk and deliver performance.
To engage and support in forums on a variety of technical issues including peer reviews.
To work alongside the leadership team in delivering and embedding Objectives
To hold team meetings and share key messages ensuring these are delivered effectively.
To complete monthly returns to the leadership team to optimise supervision
Person Specification
Essential Admitted Solicitor, FILEX or equivalent experience
8+ years PQE
Experience of handling and supervising high value Multi-Track personal injury (RTA Car & Bike) claims.
Use of electronic case management systems (Proclaim ideally but training can be given)
IT skills including Microsoft Word; Microsoft Teams; PowerPoint & Excel
Enjoys coaching and engaging team members and reporting in to technical leads
Ability to lead with integrity, be respectful of all colleague opinions
Ability to follow Company process / guidelines & make appropriate decisions
Ability to motivate colleagues & work as part of a team with strong supervisory skills and an ability to put others at ease and build trust & confidence through self-awareness and a high degree of emotional intelligence

Technical Skills
Knowledge of Personal Injury Pre-Action Protocols / Civil Procedure Rules / Funding / Costs
Knowledge of personal injury law as applicable
Understanding the impact of the Intermediate Track on lower value SI cases (over 100k) with the ability to embrace a consistent team risk strategy.
Ability to assess and advise on evidence, liability & quantum
Knowledge of all aspects of litigation and cases which involve cost budgeting
Good numerical skills with the ability to lead and assess calculated special damages
Experience of billing & bill sign off & interpretation of MI & data
Delivering and facilitating of training as required through induction & ad hoc sessions as required
Ability to work and assess competency criteria to feed into individual & department wide training
Key Performance Indictors
Your KPIs and Objectives will be discussed and agreed with you on a one-to-one basis. You will have regular one-to-one meetings with your senior technical lead and senior manager to review your performance against these objective.

Working Hours
Full time 35 hours per week. Agile working is fully supported but some office attendance is required and can be discussed at interview.
Travel
Our clients are based throughout England and Wales. Associates are required to undertake meetings with clients and attend conferences, but occasional support maybe required by the Team Leader. Some travel maybe required.
