Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager (Evenings & Weekends) to join our team. Working alongside our existing Daytime Bar Manager, you will take ownership of the bar during busy service periods, evenings, and weekend shifts. Your focus will be on managing entertainment, events, drinks menus, and customer experience to ensure our venue is the go-to destination in Standish.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the bar team during evening and weekend shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth operations.
* Lead on cocktail and drinks menu development, keeping offerings fresh, seasonal, and profitable.
* Plan and coordinate entertainment and events, including booking DJs, live acts, quizzes, and themed nights.
* Oversee service during peak trading times, ensuring speed, quality, and atmosphere are maintained.
* Train, motivate, and supervise bar staff, ensuring high standards of performance and compliance with licensing laws.
* Support with social media content and promotions
* Monitor stock levels during shifts, communicate with the Daytime Manager on ordering needs.
* Ensure tills, cash handling, and end-of-night procedures are completed accurately.
* Work with the Daytime Manager to create a seamless handover between shifts.
* Act as a keyholder and duty manager, taking responsibility for the venue in the evenings.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a bar management or supervisor role (hospitality or late-night venue experience preferred).
* Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beers, and current drinks trends.
* Experience with events and entertainment management.
* Confident leader with excellent communication and people management skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to handle busy nights and problem-solve under pressure.
* Understanding of licensing laws, health & safety, and compliance requirements.
* Exceptional communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding guest experiences.
