Main Purpose of role Operate the machine in a safe manner against the production plan to produce good quality product Hours of work & Pay: Three shift rotation: Monday to Thursday 06.00am – 02.00pm (days) 02.00pm – 10.00pm (afternoons) 10.00pm – 06.00am (nights) Friday 06.00am – 11.00am (days) 11.00am – 04.00pm (afternoons) 02.00pm – 07.00pm or 04.00pm – 09.00pm (nights) Days & Afternoons: £12.19 per hour & Overtime £15.24 per hour Nights: £12.19 per hour £2.56 per hour shift allowance (£14.75) & Overtime £15.24 per hour £3.84 per hour shift allowance (£19.08) Duties: Operate all machines in a safe manner creating a safe working environment for the machine team. Act upon Health and Safety issues and report any issues which cannot be acted upon immediately to a Line Manager. Ensure you maintain and improve housekeeping standards Ensure the machine is running against the production plan, report to planning or Team Co-ordinator any issues which affect the plan. Ensure product quality is checked and adhered to Work in a safe manner and operate the machine to achieve and to bring about the improvements in production targets. Report machine faults to the engineers and inform Team Co-ordinator Be involved with improvement activities with the department Follow all reasonable instructions given by a Line Manager Ensure machines start up quickly during handovers and run to the end of the shift. Ensure start up of your process is efficient at the start of every shift and a clear shift changeover occurs Attend daily health and safety meeting with the team Act in a professional manner at all times. Check at the end of the shift that all machines are left in the required state. Any other duties reasonably associated with the role.
