Senior Process Engineer (Client side) – Contract – Ireland (Cork)
Location: Ireland (Cork)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Renewable Energy and Nuclear sectors. The role will be site based, working client side as part of the projects team, focusing on project deliverables.
This role is deemed to be outside IR35.
Role & Responsibilities
* Acting as an integrated part of the end Client team, executing Process Engineering activities and maintain technical integrity.
* Predominantly supporting the development of CAPEX and OPEX projects, including supporting shut downs and closing out PHA actions.
* Develop the scope of work / basis of design for studies and projects.
* Undertake and checking of process calculations.
* Preparation and checking of process deliverables – PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, process descriptions, philosophies and narratives.
* Supporting the development of Process designs for a range of major energy projects at different stages including concept, pre-FEED, FEED and EPC / PMC.
* Ensure the quality of Process engineering deliverables.
* Undertake design and checking of deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise.
* Liaising with Clients and managing their needs and expectations.
* Participate in cost and schedule estimates; monitor and report progress using ascribed system.
* Develop technical documents and scope of work packages for projects.
Key Skills & Knowledge
* Degree in Chemical Engineering essential, chartered status desired but not essential.
* Previously worked on design projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy industries.
* Onshore experience in refinery, petrochem or LNG projects highly beneficial.
* Experience in relevant design standards and protocols.
* Previous site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial.
