Senior Residential Support Worker – Tigh Calman, Thorney, Peterborough
About the Role
Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Residential Support Worker is responsible for advocating and providing person‑centred care and supporting the staff team to perform their wide range of duties effectively, ensuring the best possible care and support for our residents.
Rates of Pay
Level 1 – £13.99, Level 2 – £14.31, Level 3 – £15.99 per hour. You will have the opportunity to advance through our competency framework to increase your hourly rate.

What will you be doing
* Positively contribute to the personal development of our residents with both practical and emotional support.
* Lead by example, behaving and communicating appropriately at all times.
* Design, implement, deliver and contribute to a wide range of innovative recreational events, including regular outings, trips and occasional extended visits and holidays.
* Use knowledge and experience to contribute positively to care planning and participate supportively in reviews, demonstrating sound knowledge regarding nutrition and hygiene.
* Maintain accurate, clear and concise record keeping.
* Take ownership of key‑worker duties and develop and strengthen links with families, friends and relevant significant others.
* Work in partnership with the Manager to ensure streamlined service delivery and consistent communication across the homes.
* Proactively support the staff team, including carrying out supervisions as requested.
* Attend and contribute positively to regular staff meetings and hand‑over meetings, ensuring all relevant information is disseminated appropriately and in a timely manner.
* Contribute positively to the training and development of the staff team, including identifying and highlighting any training needs.
What Experience And Qualifications Do You Need
* A genuine passion for care and a motivation to contribute to the progression of others.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
* Leadership experience in a similar role.
* A strong team player.
* Resilience and confidence to ask for support as needed.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Computer literacy.
