Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Build Strategy \n Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role \n Salary: Competitive \n What you’ll be doing: \n\n Liaising with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Projects, Supply Chain and Engineering to resolve issues arising during Design. \n Applying problem-solving tools and techniques on during the design phases from PFMEA to design for manufacture \n Capturing lessons from build activities and integrating them into strategy to prevent recurrence \n Your skills and experiences: \n Essential: \n\n Minimum HNC or equivalent experience in a STEM discipline \n Good understanding of engineering drawings and CAD models \n Experience using problem-solving tools like Lean Six Sigma \n Desirable: \n\n Experience engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve engineering/planning issues \n Familiarity with SAP / Teamcenter \n Understanding of submarine build strategy \n Benefits: \n As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. \n The SSNA ...
