Every day, people face mental and emotional distress that can spiral into crisis. As our Wellbeing House Support Worker, you'll provide a safe, supportive environment where they can find stability. You'll help them during their 7-day stay at our unique sanctuary, offering compassionate guidance on their recovery journey.
In this calm setting, you'll empower customers through activities based on the '5 ways to wellbeing' and connect them with community services. Your support will help transform distress into an opportunity for growth, with customers leaving with improved wellbeing and coping strategies.
What you'll be doing
* Provide a welcoming environment in the Wellbeing House for people in emotional distress
* Manage referrals, complete risk assessments, and welcome customers for their 7-day stays
* Deliver 1-2-1 support and signpost to services that improve mental wellbeing
* Coordinate activities based on the '5 ways to wellbeing'
* Build networks with agencies to ensure the Wellbeing House is known in the community
* Contribute to service development and improvement
Working pattern: 15 hours over 3 days (5 hours per day). One day must be Monday, with preferably every other weekend/Sunday. Hours are flexible and can be arranged around childcare/carer needs (e.g., 9:30 – 2:30).

More about you
We're looking for someone with empathy, strong boundaries and a passion for supporting mental wellbeing.
Essential:
* Experience in support, social care or community environments
* Experience with 1:1 support and needs assessments
* Ability to engage people experiencing emotional distress
* Understanding of mental wellbeing support needs
* Good IT skills and record-keeping abilities
* Strong professional boundaries in shared living environments
* Networking skills with multi-agency partners
Desirable:
* Experience supporting mental health in non-clinical settings
* Knowledge of the '5 ways to wellbeing' model
* Experience delivering wellbeing activities
* Knowledge of local Bath community services
* Experience gathering and using customer feedback
* Willingness to contribute to all aspects of service development
