An exciting opportunity has arisen at Theatres in King George Hospital for highly motivated and driven Senior Registered Nurses. We are one of the 8 Trusts in the NHS to be known as an established Surgical Elective Hub, offering the best training and development programme for our staff. Our department features pioneering cutting‑edge technology, including the Da Vinci robotic system for a range of surgeries and Stryker Orthopedic robotic joint replacement; we will also open two ultra‑modern operating theatres in April 2024.
As a senior theatre practitioner with experience in multiple specialties, you will assist in integrated clinical leadership to care for patients in the operating theatre environment to the highest possible standard, and help develop practice with support from the Team Leader.
Responsibilities
* Provide integrated clinical leadership to the theatre nursing team, caring for patients to the highest standard and supporting practice development with the Team Leader.
* Assume responsibility for operational management of staff and resources in the absence of the Team Leader, leading specific aspects of theatre management.
* Support the team’s ongoing professional and educational development through the Education Team’s programmes.
* Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards of patient safety and care.
