Telent's Network Services division is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the chance to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development as a Cloud Engineer and exposing you to challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service to ensure high customer satisfaction. They will serve as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk within Telent.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:
* Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
* Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
* Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
* Adhere to internal and external processes regarding task management and reporting.
* Assist with Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Create TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
* Perform peer reviews of engineering documentation.
* Lead in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
* Participate in customer meetings such as support reviews and incident reviews.
* Ensure accurate and timely submission of timesheets, expenses, and overtime.
* Align certifications and training with business objectives.
* Follow GDPR and security policies regarding sensitive data and incident reporting.
Who you are:
The ideal Cloud Engineer will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your development in these areas. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience working in a support environment. On-premise Cloud Services experience is also desirable.
* Certifications such as MCSA, VCP 6.x-DCV, LPIC-2 (desirable)
* Networking knowledge
* Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure MFA, and VMware vCloud Director
* Leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
