The primary focus of the role is to drive incremental revenue in line with budget and future strategy. With a focus on delivering new lucrative business opportunities that drive revenue and rate, and to build effective relationships with existing accounts to drive volume. The role will also focus on revenue growth of the M&E and group business segments from a combination of new, existing and agency relationships, across all hotels within the portfolio.
The individual will need strong leadership skills, with a focus on induction, training, mentoring & measurement of the team.
With over 5000 bedrooms in London, this individual also needs to be identifying opportunities across the whole group of hotels, ensuring a cross selling mentality is adopted across all relevant departments and areas of responsibility.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN DUTIES
* Have a clear understanding of the hotels budget strategy and business mix
* Develop and deliver intelligent, strategic business plans aligned to the individual hotel strategy
* Unearth and deliver a targeted number of new lucrative business opportunities to support the hotels revenue target
* Grow revenue and target market share growth by utilising Agency 360 data and RP targets set by hotel by month
* To work closely with the revenue team to align rate plans and pricing for both corporate and group business
* Attend and prepare information for the weekly strategy meetings
* Utilise salesforce.com to enrich client specific data to build a deep understanding of the accounts, the opportunities that exist and to share key information with the hotels
* Represent the brand to the external market through marketing plans and digital opportunities
* Work alongside the central KAD’s and have involvement in the rate negotiation of the major national accounts
* Develop inbound international business from key markets and global strategic accounts
* Ability to analyse data and market information to give insight back into the business
* Work closely with the hotel reactive teams to assist with conversion of key meetings & events and group revenue opportunities
* Be passionate about the industry and keep abreast of new clients, how the business is changing and new developments
* Ensure we are always challenging the status quo and look at new ways of operating
* Induct, train, mentor & measure Sales Manager's overall performance and feedback through regular reviews
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
* Establish and promote good internal relationships within your department, hotel, support office ensuring that we treat our internal customers with care and consideration.
* Meet financial targets including profit and expenditure.
* To be knowledgeable of the fourth payroll system and rotas in line with business needs
* As a manager you will have access to confidential information regarding and belonging to the company. You will manage your access to this information in a professional and confidential manner.
* You are responsible for the performance of your team and as such you will;
-Ensure that you are aware of and adhere to the company’s rules and procedures
-Undertake the continuous process of training and developing team members. This includes in your role the completion of; performance appraisals, succession planning and communication meetings.
-Carry out management performance and development reviews with direct reports. This applies to new starters, monthly, annual and six monthly reviews.
-Issue your team members with personal KRA’s (key result areas) to include challenging yet achievable targets in line with company KRA’s.
-Take responsibility for the recruitment of your team along with the administration required to pay them accurately and on time, whilst maintaining accurate records. You should ensure you are fully trained in the necessary applications to enable you to complete these tasks and adhere to the timelines and rules governing this area.
