* 8.30 am - 3.30 pm
* £168.00 - £232.00 per day
Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic Humanities Teacher to join a school in Cumbria, starting immediately. This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and informative lessons in History and English to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
* Utilize strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
* Maintain effective classroom management skills to create a conducive learning environment.
* Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the educational development of students.
* Serve as a good role model for students, embodying compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
* Collaborate with other teaching staff to share best practices and improve teaching methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Recent relevant experience teaching History and English at KS3 and KS4 levels; KS5 experience is beneficial.
* Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
* Good interpersonal skills, with attributes of trustworthiness, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
