Job Title: Therapy Team Manager
Location: Hitchin SG4
Salary: £31,746 - £33,388 per annum (pro-rata)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Therapy Team Manager to provide leadership to a specialised therapy and recreational therapy team. The role supports the delivery of high-quality services, clinical governance, and quality improvement while ensuring effective management of caseloads and service users' outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee service delivery from referral to discharge, ensuring effective planning and delivery of treatment programmes.
* Lead clinical governance activities within the team, including risk management and adherence to policies and standards.
* Manage day-to-day operations of the team, providing support, supervision, and professional guidance.
* Chair interdisciplinary team meetings and review meetings as required.
* Collaborate with other professionals to manage services crossing organisational boundaries.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapy interventions for service users.
* Manage own caseload within an agreed clinical area.
* Monitor mandatory and professional training compliance within the team.
* Contribute to research, audit, and service evaluation initiatives.
* Maintain a safe working environment and uphold service user confidentiality.
Requirements:
* BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Relevant post-registration training and leadership experience in health or social care.
* Experience working with clients with moderate to advanced neurological conditions.
* Demonstrable experience in evidence-based practice, research, audit, and outcome measures.
* Proven ability to manage and lead a team, including setting objectives, recruitment, appraisal, and disciplinary management.
* Highly specialist knowledge of neurological therapy assessments and interventions using complex clinical reasoning.
* Membership in relevant professional groups is desirable (e.g., ACPIN/ACPIVR).
