About You
Medical qualification and a non-GP Specialist or General Practice Specialist qualification, with eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia, with AHPRA.
Masters or PhD, or equivalent experience, preferably in medical education or medical leadership.
Expert knowledge and experience in a general or specialist clinical capacity, including evidence of knowledge of current education best practice.
Evidence of a substantial senior contribution to quality clinical teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and / or professional level, in a range of settings including small and large groups.
Experience in successfully undertaking or facilitating research or scholarship of teaching and learning, with the ability to engage effectively in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, establish effective relationships, and to manage disparate interests in complex environments.
High level communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, colleagues and the relevant external partners.
A commitment to and an understanding of the issues surrounding, living and working in a rural and / or regional area.

Key responsibilities
* Teaching: Have primary responsibility for academic oversight and leadership of the implementation and provision of all four years of the MD Program within GBCS.
* Contribute to face-to-face clinical teaching, relevant to clinical expertise, to support the development of professional identity, as well as clinical knowledge and skills, where feasible.
* Be an effective and professional role model for students
* Teaching Impact / Research: Maintain personal academic standing including the pursuit of research and scholarship of teaching and learning.
* Supervision and Researcher Development: Mentor and support students and supervisors, promoting professional development, responsible research conduct, and high standards of performance and behaviour.
