An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Endoscopy Unit at Trafford General Hospital for an Endoscopy Sister/Charge Nurse secondment for 12 months. You should be a dynamic and experienced senior nurse with specific knowledge and skills in working in Endoscopy.

Endoscopic procedures will be carried out by Endoscopists who are adequately trained and deemed competent to the recommended standards approved by JAG and BSG National Guidelines for Practice.

As a Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, assisting in complex endoscopy procedures, planning, problem-solving, using electronic rostering, and staff allocations. As an expert in endoscopy, you will disseminate your knowledge and skills to the wider endoscopy workforce, helping to maintain high standards of nursing care for our patients. Applications are invited from motivated and innovative nurses keen to be part of the development of our Endoscopy service.
Our procedures are varied and diverse, including diagnostics, therapeutics, and surveillance: gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG insertion, Bronchoscopy, and EBUS, delivering high-quality care to our patients. We also host the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme and run the TNE service, offering a range of specialisms to develop your skills and experience.
