Offer description

We are looking for an organised and proactive Administrator, working 16 hours per week to support our Bradford service by providing high-quality clerical and administrative support to the team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help ensure the smooth and efficient running of services that support children and young people. Working from home, you will play a key role in maintaining administrative systems, producing reports, coordinating meetings and supporting quality assurance and service development activities. In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the team, helping to improve efficiency and consistency across services. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating computerised administrative and case management systems, as well as producing management information reports using our internal systems. You will also support the preparation of monthly and quarterly monitoring reports, organise meetings, prepare relevant documentation, take accurate minutes and ensure information is appropriately distributed. General administrative duties will include word processing, data input and maintaining accurate records. In addition, you will carry out monthly audits and quality assurance checks, support the recruitment and retention of volunteers, and assist managers with research and wider service development activity across the region. Although this is a home-based role, candidates must be based within the Yorkshire area, as the post supports the Bradford service and may require occasional regional involvement. How to Apply In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description attached. Requirements include: Previous experience in an administrative or office support role Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages Experience using computerised databases or case management systems Excellent communication skills We reserve the right to close this vacancy early once we receive a high number of applications. To comply with NYAS’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy internal candidates will be subject to references. In accordance with UK immigration law, NYAS is required to ensure that all prospective candidates have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom. Therefore, proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required as part of the recruitment process. About NYAS As an established leading rights-based charity, NYAS (National Youth Advocacy Service) is well positioned to ensure that children, young people, and adults across England and Wales are fully respected, represented, and supported in expressing their views and having their rights upheld.
